Airbrush Tanning FAQ
What is airbrush tanning? Airbrush tanning (often called a custom spray tan) is a fully customized, hand-applied sunless tan. Unlike automated booth tans, a trained professional uses a specialized airbrush gun to apply a fine, fine-tuned solution directly to your skin. We tailor the color depth and undertones to match your exact skin type so you get a natural, golden, just-vacationed glow.
How long does a session take? Your actual appointment takes about 20 minutes from start to finish. We’ll chat about your ideal color depth, get you prepped, and have you glowing and out the door in no time.
How long does the tan last? With proper hydration and care, a custom airbrush tan typically lasts anywhere from 7 to 10 days.
How should I prep my skin? Exfoliate and shave/wax at least 24 hours before your appointment. On the day of your session, come with completely clean skin—no lotions, oils, perfumes, or deodorants, as they can block the development of the tan.
What should I wear to my appointment? Loose, dark-colored clothing is your best friend. Think a baggy cotton tee, loose sweatpants, or a sundress. Avoid tight waistbands, bras, or denim immediately after your session so you don't rub off the fresh solution.
When can I shower? For a standard tan, you'll want to wait 8 to 12 hours before your first rinse (just warm water, no soap). If you're using a rapid/express formula, your rinse time will be much shorter—usually 2 to 4 hours, depending on how deep you want to go. We'll give you exact instructions before you leave!
Will I look orange? Never. We customize the solution to your unique skin undertones to ensure a natural, golden, just-vacationed finish—no orange tones in sight.
